Unibet Review

Unibet Review

The best offers and game variety are not always found at dedicated online casinos. In case of Unibet – Sweden’s largest online betting operator – I can’t say much about the offers, but when it comes to the game list, it’s one of the best I have ever seen.

Unibet was founded in 1997 by Anders Strom. It received its sports betting license in the UK, and started taking telephone bets in London. The first Unibet website was launched in 1999, initially as a sports betting operation, but later more products – casino games, soft games, poker and bingo – were added.

Today Unibet is a major European online gambling operator with numerous online gambling and betting outlets and over 8 million users from all over the world.

Registering an account at Unibet.com will grant the user access to all of the operator’s services – its sports betting operation, casino, games and poker room, as well as its live casino. Registering is simple and quick – you fill out a form with your details, submit and you are done.

The website is available in 22 languages, and accepts players from all over the world except the US and its territories, Afghanistan, Australia, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, France and other French territories, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Spain, Syria, Turkey and Yemen.

For Australia, Denmark, Estonia, France and Italy it has its local operations – players from these countries need to register an account there https://playcanadacasino.com/monopoly-slot/.

As all other major international operators, Unibet also accepts a great variety of payment methods. Among them you can find the usual international ones – credit and debit cards, a great variety of e-wallet and online money transfer services – and a series of others that are available for players residing in certain countries.

Apparently the operator does not accept deposits under €15, but this limit can be different for various payment methods and currencies.

For exact information about the deposit and withdrawal methods available in your territory, and the minimum and maximum limits, it’s best to visit the cashier at the Unibet website.

Software and games

Unlike most of its competitors, the Unibet casino does not stick to a single software provider and it does not have a downloadable casino suite. Instead its game list consists of a large number of browser-based games – 385 of them at the moment, but their number increases every month – from a series of developers like Net Entertainment, Microgaming, Jadestone, GTS, Play’n Go, Relax Gaming, AG Software, Nyx, IGT, Yggdrasil and Evolution Gaming. All games are available for browser play, both for real money and for fun (in this case the players don’t even need to register an account to play).

The operator offers its customers the chance to play progressive jackpot games provided by two developers – Microgaming and Net Entertainment – increasing their chance to win big. Wins are flowing toward Unibet customer – a Finnish player even won two progressive jackpots in one year at this casino.

As an extra, the operator offers its players access to some games that are not to be found anywhere else – developed for them by the emerging Swedish casino games developer Thunderkick.

Most of the games available at the Unibet casino are slots (about 280 of them to choose from), but it also offers its players a series of classic casino games like roulette and baccarat (also as live dealer games), card games, table games like craps, video poker games and more. Their parlor games – scratch cards and others – are available in the Games section.

Unibet is great when it comes to the games quality and variety, but when it comes to promotions and bonuses, it is among the worst.

Until recently it offered a 100% match on the player’s first deposit, up to €100, but I couldn’t find any sign of this promotion at the moment. It has a running promotion tied to Microgaming’s latest video slot machine, the Jurassic Park (it has a €15,000 prize pool and hundreds of free spins), but that’s about it.

Although it has no attractive offers at the moment, Unibet is still among the best places to play. Its game variety beats any individual casino (except maybe Microgaming’s downloadable suite, but then again, we are speaking of a browser-based operation), and it is one of the most reliable and fair online gambling operations one can find. I would surely recommend it to anyone.
